The studio is deeply rooted in the philosophical foundations of yoga and understanding of yoga as a therapeutic modality. The studio offers 200-hour and 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training Program, as well as Orange County’s only Yoga Therapist Training program.

Katie is the Founder and School Director of AlcheMe Yoga Therapy; a yoga therapy company that offers professional training, comprehensive clinical programs, research and outreach initiatives. With a passion for yoga therapy and a background in Public Health, her organizations have built successful community-based relationships with hospitals, health systems and clinics to integrate yoga therapy services into their offerings.

Katie is also passionate about bringing yoga to under-served communities and directs the Yoga Therapy Program at Hoag Hospital’s Center for Healthy Living. She’s currently building out a Yoga Promotores Program to train Spanish-speaking students to become yoga teachers to spread healthy living practices throughout various community organizations.

She has presented at the Symposium on Yoga Therapy and Research (SYTAR) on ‘How to Develop and Market Comprehensive Yoga Therapy Programs in Clinical Settings’ in 2017 as well as ‘Yoga Therapy as a Health Promotion Strategy for Underserved Communities’ at SYTAR in June 2018.
